In 1958, brothers Milo and Lamar Bosshardt discovered salt under their farmland and started a unique company that grew through hard work, innovation, and deep respect for people and the land.
In the 1960s, local governments realized that Redmond’s unique mineral salt melted road ice more efficiently than traditional white salt. Redmond began marketing crushed salt as a premium road deicing salt. The product would later be known as Ice Slicer.
In 2005, Redmond Inc. created Redmond Life to make clean products to support people's health and wellness journey.
