Ginger belongs to the same plant family as turmeric, cardamom, and galangal. All members of the Zingiberaceae family, these fragrant, warming spices have antioxidant properties that make them beneficial to your health and the taste of your food.
The underground stem (or rhizome) of the ginger plant is commonly called ginger root and is used to make ground ginger for cooking. The ground ginger we use is organic, non-GMO, and kosher-certified.
