What does the L-isoleucine in Re-Lyte Pre-Workout do?

L-isoleucine is a branched-chain amino acid that's been shown to support muscle recovery after workouts.

L-isoleucine is a branched-chain amino acid (BCAAs) that helps your body create protein, supports energy production, regulates blood sugar, and aids growth and healing. This essential amino acid isn't produced naturally in the body but can be found in foods like beef, chicken, pork, fish, tofu, dairy, beans, nuts, seeds, and supplements like Re-Lyte Pre-Workout.

We included L-isoleucine in Re-Lyte Pre-Workout because research shows that this amino acid can help decrease post-workout muscle damage and soreness. A 2006 study published in the Journal of Nutrition found that BCAAs like L-isoleucine can boost physical performance by limiting the brain's consumption of tryptophan and reducing the brain's synthesis of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5HT). This supports healthy energy levels and stamina.

In addition to L-isoleucine, Re-Lyte Pre-Workout contains the BCAAs L-valine and L-leucine. These three amino acids work together to aid overall muscle health and support your muscles against damage or injury.

The BCAAs we use in Re-Lyte Pre-Workout come from plant rather than animal sources, so they're vegan-friendly.
