Ginger has a wide variety of documented healing properties ranging from nausea relief to anti-inflammatory effects to immune support. That's why we knew ginger root had a place in Re-Lyte Immunity.
Ginger belongs to the same plant family as turmeric, cardamom, and galangal. All members of the Zingiberaceae group, these natural compounds produce antioxidant effects, in addition to delivering the delicious flavors that populate our spice cabinets.
Multiple studies note a link between ginger and nausea relief, from mild cases to the most severe situations, such as menstrual cramping, chemotherapy-induced nausea, chronic indigestion, morning sickness, IBS, and more.
Similar to other Re-Lyte Immunity ingredients turmeric and elderberry, ginger is known for its proven anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Anti-inflammatory substances can help support healthy joints. Antioxidants can fend off oxidative stress and keep our cells healthy, which can help support overall immune health.
Ginger specifically can be used in many forms— fresh, pickled, dried, or as an oil or liquid. The stem, or rhizome of the plant, is most commonly referred to as ginger root. In Re-Lyte Immunity, we use ginger root in its GMO-free, powdered form.
