These essential amino acids support strength, speed, endurance, and muscle recovery.
Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are three essential amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) that support strength, speed, endurance, and muscle recovery.
Research shows that BCAAs reduce the amount of creatine kinase (CK) in the blood. Creatine kinase (CK) is an enzyme used to gauge muscle damage (so less CK means less muscle damage). BCAAs have also been shown to activate a pathway that triggers the creation of muscle protein and slow muscle protein breakdown.
With all these muscle benefits, BCAAs can help you perform better during and recover better after your workouts. They do, however, have a bitter taste that we don’t mask with artificial sweeteners like other pre-workout brands do. In our book, the benefits of BCAAs and a clean formula are way more important than a little bitterness.
