The bag is resealable but may not be 100% airtight after opening.
The bag is resealable, but we can’t guarantee that the seal will be 100% airtight after opening. The resealable portion is a velcro-like seal that works well when it's fully engaged without anything interfering with it. Two things to keep in mind:
First, it's easy for tiny salt crystals to take up residence in the crevices of the seal mechanism and interfere with the seal, so make sure those delicious grains of salt are back in the bag before you try to seal it.
Second, a fully closed seal will stay closed if the bag tips over on its side, but not if it gets stepped on, thrown around, or smashed by something heavy after it tips over.
