Because of the caffeine content, we don't recommend Re-Lyte Boost for kids or teens.
Since each serving of Re-Lyte Boost contains 120 mg of caffeine, we don’t recommend it for kids or teenagers.
Right now, there’s no safe threshold established for caffeine intake in children under 12 years old. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children and teens between 12 and 18 keep their caffeine intake below 100 mg per day.
Kids and teens tend to be more sensitive to the side effects of caffeine. That means it’s more likely to trigger anxiety, diarrhea, dehydration, and sleep trouble in young folks than in adults. And honestly, in our experience, most kids and teens have more than enough energy anyway (we can barely keep up with our kids and teens as it is, so we’re not trying to give them an energy boost anytime soon.)
If you’re looking for a tasty, healthy way to keep the young ones in your life hydrated, we have something exciting in the works— Kids Re-Lyte. Stay tuned!
