What do the natural flavors in flavored Re-Lyte varieties do?

Natural fruit and other flavors make our flavored Re-Lyte varieties taste delicious.

Not everyone loves the salty flavor of Unflavored Re-Lyte, so we add a little something to our flavored Re-Lyte varieties to make them taste amazing. Our current recipes are the result of countless hours of experimenting, tweaking, and taste testing as we worked to make a mix that tasted great and met our simple, clean, and real standards.

Our primary flavors are derived from real fruit, including:

  • Lemons
  • Limes
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Pineapples
  • Coconuts
  • Mangoes
  • Watermelons
  • Blackberries
  • Oranges
  • Peaches

In addition to these specific fruits, we also use the more general term “natural flavors” on our flavored Re-Lyte ingredient labels. Dehydrating fruit and putting it into powdered form causes the flavor to break down and alters the taste. As a result, flavor houses often come up with proprietary blends of flavors from other natural sources to restore and round out the flavor from the dehydrated, powdered fruit.

These flavor houses guard their recipes closely, which means we can't share the final details that make Re-Lyte unique. We can say that we rejected early formulations of Re-Lyte flavorings that were tasty but not up to our standards. You can learn more about potential allergens here.

We understand and share the concern about natural flavors in some products. In the case of flavored Re-Lyte, natural flavors make up a very small percentage of the overall Re-Lyte formulas. Since Re-Lyte is filled with hydrating electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals from natural, quality sources, we consider it a clean and healthy product. That said, we're always looking at alternatives to make our products even better and more accessible through the quality of our ingredients, cost, and the way they taste. For those who prefer no natural flavors we recommend Unflavored Re-Lyte, or our Re-Lyte Electrolyte Capsules.
